My name is Sandra Eckhardt.  I am a member of Canefields Clubhouse at Beenleigh. You could not be more welcomed there.  The staff and members are just wonderful.  I would

especially like to thank Nathan.  I have come a long way.  I was in Logan hospital in C2 ward. I could not cope with every day life any lognger. I would like to thank the police at Beenleigh and Slacks Creek for their concern and also Logan hospital. I was lost.  I am a carer but I needed someone to care for me. Logan hospital and Canefields did that for me. I can cope now. Life is what you make it. I am happy now. Thank God there are people that do care.

I have my self esteem back now through

Canefields.

The Expedition—Bipolar Expedition

 

An expedition team led by extremely

experienced guides and consisting of people with Bipolar disorder psychiatrists and

community members, will embark on two

separate treks, approximately 3 weeks each-one to the North Pole in April 2009 and one to the South Pole in November 2009.

 

This entire journey will be made into a

documentary to raise awareness for Bipolar

disorder.  Participants need to be aware that this is an integral part of our mission-to raise public awareness about the disorder.
