Well, this has been another rather large few months. The Education and
Employment unit has been trying hard, as always, to secure you all
another Transitional Employment Placement. Due to lots of hard work, it
so happens that this month we had a success! The great people at Lang’s
Timber and Hardware have offered us a position as a Maintenance
Assistant. Glen Taylor is going to start this Transitional Employment
Placement (TEP) off, as Angelo is taking over Glens Previous TEP at
Queensland Health. Cassandra has also just started her Interlink TEP,
and in February Phil Garland is just beginning a course at TAFE.
Currumbin College of Hospitality is also running a few good courses
which Luke Schmidt is beginning to undertake. So we’re all rather busy
this month! If you are interested in any Transitional Employment
Placements, you want some help finding a job, or you’re interested in
furthering your education, get in contact with Ben in the Education and
Employment unit, and he will be happy to help you out.
Sadly Clare is leaving us (or has left us by now) on the 14th of Feb, as
she is going back to New Zealand. She wishes you all the best, and wants
you all to know how much she’ll miss you!!! “Don’t forget me, as
hopefully I will be back next year!!!”
